Introduction

This is my new blog! Honestly, I wish anyone luck to whoever attempts at reading this because it will probably be atrocious since my analyzation of literature is pretty unintelligent.
On the fourth day of school, we had to write a well-detailed paragraph on what kind of reader we were, and I wrote vividly on my experiences with reading. I love to read, but I do not like to read actual literature. And I am talking about the Charles Dickens, Jane Austen, and Richard Wright kind of literature. I was never into that. I liked to read any fiction book and I would fall in love with every single one, which is where my love for Disney comes from, soon concentrated into Frozen. You will soon find out that I can connect anything to this movie.
My goal for this blog is to expand my explanations on literature. I want to learn how to analyze good literature and dig deeper than the surface. I hope that with this blog and with my classmates’ blogs as well, I will learn how to create those holes to dig and finally get the feeling of accomplishment and confidence in my English skills.

No matter what happens though, all I want to do is to learn. Learn new ways and new perspectives to expand my horizons on what other people are thinking, even if it is wrong. Who knows, some of you may think the same and be influenced by my childish blog. I am just trying to make literature fun again, even if that includes unnecessary gifs that may or may not connect to the topic at hand. Hope you enjoy and stick around!

  1. This post was hysterical! I found it really funny because I feel the same when it comes to “real” literature and then falling in love with fiction. In addition, the webpage is visually appealing, which caused me to really enjoy going through the post. It was a fun post and had a lot of your personality in it. The post was not boring and gave a different outlook on how you perceive different pieces of literature. I would suggest in future posts adding a little more context. For instance, what aspects of novels by Jane Austin and Charles Dickens make you dislike them? Do not be afraid to say too much! The pictures really make the page and gives the viewers an idea of what they can expect on this webpage.

  2. I love how your blog is set up, it is visually appealing and hilarious and so is your first post. The first post I feel can connect to a lot of teens out there, because not a lot of teens like reading literature that much and they prefer fiction. This post also shows the journey's you've had with reading and what you want in the future. This blog also shows me who you are as a person. The only thing I would advise you to do is structure your post differently, because this post looks like a small essay, not a blog post. Love the pictures they are very entertaining.

  3. I really enjoy what you did with your blog, its...lit :) it's all really fun to look at, you make very interesting and the appearance makes me want to read it and find out more about you. As a whole I believe if you add more details or information about the books you read and what you liked about them :)

  4. By the way, I really love your mindset, learning more no matter what and expanding our horizons, I wish a lot of us had that attitude when it comes to learning new things and experiences :)

  5. Before I say anything else, I just want to say that I loved iCarly while growing up and seeing that gif was hilarious. But on a serious note, I really like this blog. It was humorous yet very informative. I love how you're trying to make reading fun and exciting. I can immediately tell what you want others to know about you as a person and a reader and that is funny and adventurous. Overall though, I think there needs to be a few changes in how you structure your posts because they don't really flow easily together. I knew what you were trying to do, but maybe in the future, try to use transitions.
